That is my girl Abby. I have hunted German Shorthairs since around 1970. My wife and I have always had the breed (43 years) We got Abby and her sister Sam at 3 months on a ranch outside of Tucson in 2004. She and her sister were with me for 15 years and unfortunately she moved recently. She was one of my favorite pups of all time.

While she was still with us, and we knew she was winding down, we picked up our newest GSP from GSP rescue (1 year old) with some abuse history. She is working well through her past.

Great story and I'm sure Abby will continue to adjust with TLC. I should have recognised the breed, as an old friend, way back in HS had two. Like I said...WAY back.

It’s really strange clicking that 71 button. I still feel like I’m in my 20’s. I just can’t believe I’m 71.

I'm 61 for another month.

Bumping eighty now. At breakfast after church this AM and they had a mirror behind my wife. I happened to look over her shoulder and wondered who that good looking old man was behind her. YIKES! It was me!
