Torque screwdriver

I’m curious if everyone uses a torque screw driver. Only scope I have a Leuopold on my Ruger American 22. I bought that at LL Beans and they mounted it. It’s worked fine never had any issues. I’m looking at one at Cabelas .

. It’s not an expensive one but seems to get decent reviews. I haven’t bought it yet as I’ve sent in a form from Maine Professional Guides Association. They give us 15% off brands they sell 30% off anything with their brand.

Never used one before and have not had any issues
But I just bought one from Amazon to use in the future

I have a Wheeler. I used it to set the scope mount and ring screws. I haven't used it in a long time though. I didn't have any problems with it. It just worked.

I have one. Definitely good to have when mounting rings and scopes.

I did think about getting one. However, I have not done so yet. So far, I just make sure that all screws are snuggle after shooting.

I have that exact Wheeler set and have used it many times. It’s a great product that will give you confidence your screws are tightened correctly. Too tight is just a bad as too loose. I also use the Wheeler level system to make sure the crosshairs are properly aligned.

I did that initially. When I got the Wheeler I used it check what I had done. My torque by gut was close enough.

When I was in the Navy, I had to make sure an electronic transmitter/receiver had a water tight seal. First, we would tighten bolts and check with a touque wrench. Then, we check if it would hold a vaccum. After awhile, your arm becomes calibrated to a certain touque.
