Spring is here
Spring finally seems to be here. I just checked the ten day forecast and no snow is predicted. Fifties and a few 60s are in store for us.
I'm ready. We had a pretty snow free winter, but the last couple of weeks dropped some snow on us.
How about your area? When will spring arrive, unless it already has.

Re: Spring is here
Maybe today. The temp topped out at 49 yesterday and we had some snow last night (yeah, I'm in Arizona, but the elevation here is nearly a mile high).
Low 60s today and the 10-day forecast predicts a high of 81 on Thursday.

Re: Spring is here
My Daffodils have flowered, the Forsythia, Blackberries, Fruit trees, and Grape vine have all sprouted buds. We still have temps that occasionally fall below freezing overnight, but the sun is quite high and it quickly warms things up again, even under cloud cover. We've had way too much rain, but that may be OK for most of the plants, if not my basement. The forest underbrush is quickly greening in advance of the tree canopy, which should begin to pop soon, too. The birds are building nests in every possible place and the frogs in the pond are active, so I think, "Yeah. Spring is here."
I just hope the next several months are not very stormy or extremely hot.
We had very little snow cover in CT again this year, which is OK with me.
The USDA Planting Zone in my neighborhood is now classified as 7a.

Re: Spring is here
Spring is here some days, other days not so much. We've had a couple 70' days, but currently back in the upper 40's daytime, mid to lower 30's night time and wet. Plants are greening up, some flowers are starting to bloom. Buds are appearing. Planting zone 8.

Re: Spring is here
Typical spring day here with daytime highs in the 50’s and nighttime lows just below freezing. Today there’s no wind and the sun is bright.

Spring is in full bloom in the Sonoran Desert. We’re heading back to Wyoming next week, and it’s snowing sideways there right now, so it’s normal springtime at home, too.

Re: Spring is here
I have several Azaleas that are blooming. There are blooms on the Dogwoods and pink and white Flox are flowing over the wall along my driveway. The birds are very active...lots of Bluebirds in and out of the houses I built for them.
We've already had a few days in the 70's approaching 80. This week however has cooled back down into the 50's and pretty frigid nighttime temps. It's been consistently windy as well.
For the most part Spring has definitely arrived and I'm loving it! We're heading for another warming trend next week

Re: Spring is here
We were on the Sonoran Desert a few weeks back and saw the space launch from there.
With all the rain we got while we were there I expected the desert to bloom and it had
started when we left.

Re: Spring is here
Let’s see, last week I played golf on a sunny 70 degree day and two days later watched it snow outside my window. Yep, a pretty typical spring here in the INLAND Pacific Northwest.
Just went outside with the dogs and listened to an owl hooting, a Raven crawing, a Turkey gobbling and a rooster crowing. Nice melody indeed.
