Danny recalled it in a similar way to you in the post race interview. He may not have expected Albon to be on the outside, but that’s racing. And not finding “fault” really doesn’t mean much in my mind. Things happen in racing, and when you’re in that mid-pack fracas, tiny little mistakes from any driver will cause crashes. I wasn’t saying it was Rics fault, but it looked like he moved away from Strol without looking to the right side. Either way, it still keeps him from getting a good result that he needs. He is a better driver than Yuki, yet is not on his pace. There’s no way Christian is going to move him up to a seat in the main team as things are. It’s a shame, but luck plays a big part in things too. An “unlucky” driver can be brilliant, but all the principles are looking at is results.

With so many drivers and teams without contracts finalized for ‘25, it’s going to get exciting over the next few weeks and months.

All 3 drivers needed a result, probably why no one was prepared to yield in just the second corner.
F1 is like most motorsport and often the battles for 14th or 15th place are fiercer more intense and better viewing than those for the lead, Just a shame most TV coverage tends to focus solely on those fighting for the win, Often there is more at stake in the mid pack with drivers fighting for their careers,

Exactly. At least with the “runaway” leader(s) of late, they have tired of watching Max be 18 seconds ahead, and do cover the action. I guess they can’t be everywhere at once, so watch the best battles in the points.

I see Dan has a new chassis for this weekend, expecting an increase in his performance be it due to issues with the previous chassis or just the placebo effect.

Seems to be an improvement for Daniel so far. And great job for Bothas too. Maybe the Sauber has something to it?

Seems to be an improvement in pace from Danny in qualifying and the sprint, managed to overtake both a HASS and Sauber on pure race pace in the sprint so maybe points are on offer in the race.

Stroll should have gotten points. Oh, wait, he did! 2 points against his racing license for rear ending Dan. Shame how that idiocy played out!

Yeah cant believe he still thinks it was everyone else fault but his own.
Come on everyone else avoided hitting the car in front of them both the drivers in front of Stroll and those behind him yet he managed to plant his car half way under Dan. If it was the concertina effect then the cars behind him would have rear end him just as hard if not harder than he hit Dan.
He has done himself no favors by refusing to accept any blame for the incident. Accidents happen, accept when you are at fault, move on and learn from it. Fans and other drivers will respect you for that and It shows you can develop as a driver.
