In the last several years or so, I've seen several of the famous bands/artists from the 60s and 70s.3 Dog Night, The Beach Boys, James Taylor to name a few. Some of them could no longer sing worth a flip, Taylor being the exception. Neither the Pup or I, nor anyone else in the audience seemed to care. We all enjoyed seeing the icons of a previous age perform, and just enjoyed the music, and the experience.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Check out Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers for some good harmonica playing.

John Mayall's pretty good too.

Oh yeah, I've listened to them many times. With all due respect to them and many others, and with no hint of racism intended whatsoever, the late gentleman in the video linked here was the greatest white player to ever blow the blues harp.

Holy cow, the link in forty’s original post sure took me down a rabbit hole on Wiki. I had a great time re-visiting these old artists and going down memory lane. One of the best songs IMO ever recorded is Blue Collar and I still love it to this day. I went to a BTO concert in the 70’s with the expectation of hearing this song. After the band left the stage without playing it but with the encore still pending I was hopeful. Well I wasn’t disappointed as they came back and played Blue Collar for 20+ minutes. While still a late teenager I felt my life was complete!

I’ve always liked songs with long instrumental segments so my liking this song and the fact my favorite band is Pink Floyd makes sense. Plus IMO the best rock and roll song ever recorded is Stranglehold by Ted Nugent which sure fits the bill of a song with long instrumentals.

Here’s a six minute video of Blue Collar. No video action just the music.

I too was (and still am) a big Guess Who fan. I didn’t know how the band acquired the Guess Who name until reading some Wiki from this post. Crazy!

Well, I suppose The Who and Dr Who had already been taken.
