Another great one gone

Country singer and great patriot Toby Keith has passed at age 62. He was my favorite and he will be missed by many. RIP Toby.

I saw him on TV at an Awards Show a short while back and he didn't look good, but sang surprisingly well.

They say he was still performing in Las Vegas just 2 months ago.

My favorite by Toby: "You Ain't Much Fun".

He will be missed.

I told my wife this morning after hearing the bad news that I would have been happy having Toby for US president and Ted Nugent or Kid Rock for VP. The countries that aren't afraid of us now would be shaking in their shoes to try to do the things they do now. I don't want to get political. Just my feelings for something better.

I liked that he pretty much told Nashville to pound sound and went to Cal. and immediately had a #1 hit.
Yep. He was a good one, and a brave enough person to stand in his own boots instead of trying to fit in everyone else’s shoes.

I knew he had a lot of respect for the military and made several USO trips.
I read today he did 11 USO trips, visited 17 countries performing for some 250,000 troops.

I agree with you Bandit, he'd made a good one.
Also, nice tribute there forty.

About to pour a cold one up in a Red Solo.
RIP Toby.
