What was your favorite from SHOT show 2024

Post by daytime dave » Wed Jan 24, 2024 9:15 am

I'm curious to see what anyone has thought about the new releases from this year's shot show. I saw a lot of interesting new firearms. I was torn between the new Smith and Wesson revolver made for Lipsey's and the new blued Python.

I have decided my favorite new firearm is the Lipsey's S&W snubbie. I think it's a great idea with interesting features.

What is yours?

Haven't seen it all yet but that Ruger 45 ACP rifle/carbine is really cool being able to use Glock mags. List price....if when you can find one in the $1,000 range. However I still like my clunky but now much more friendly HiPoint 45 carbine in Bullpup stock. Much lower cost and runs and puts them where you want.

Had a hard time trying to find the list but the Beretta PX4 GSD looked a little interesting.

Haven't seen a list nor do I know where it would be, but
like I said I haven't been impressed about any of what I have seen.
Like forty said above about the new Ruger 45 acp rifle.
I'd rather have the old Hi point at a third of the cost and we know how reliable they are.

Dont know that I have a favorite but I find the Ruger Super Redhawk in 22 hornet an interesting chambering in a revolver. I know its been done before but I question how it will sell at the price they are asking.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Interesting as it's basically a handloaders cartridge now a days.
