Very cool, thanks for posting.

I can remember as a kid, my dad was a member of the local American Legion. We would end up there as a matter or course after parades in town, with a couple uncles being part of the color guard. I distinctly remember them having a very large 49 star flag hanging behind the bar in the big room. It struck me as odd, even as a kid, because the stars weren't in the same pattern as the 50 star flag. It was just a 7 x 7 grid. I've thought about that flag a few times in the following years. It was only a few months between Alaska and Hawaii being admitted, so that flag had to have been made in that little window of time. I don't live anywhere near there, but I hope they still have that flag.
