25f right now. Going to 50's again. Tea in my little thermos. It fits in the little bag on back of my saddle. On with the day.

Had a great Easter weekend. Although she was supposed to keep it a secret, (my wife cannot keep a secret), my wife told me Friday that my oldest daughter was flying from Buffalo, NY and my Grandson from Kenai, Alaska for the weekend. Easter is a big deal for us and all the family gathers here in the woods for a day of eating and laughing.

Well, they got here Saturday night. Sunday after church the rest started arriving. I smoked a huge ham and there were many side dishes. We ate well and had a load of fun.

Took my Grandson back to the airport yesterday and my daughter leaves this evening.

What a great surprise.

Well, everyone has gone home and the house is quiet and empty. Just me and the Missus. Miss them already.

Supposed to hit 74 today with bright sunshine so I'll do yard work. Same tomorrow only a little cooler.

Took my Daughter and Wife shopping yesterday after eating lunch at Protillo's in Woodbury, Mn. Chicago Beef sandwiches,
dipped in Au Jus and lots of hot peppers. Really good. Then sitting around while they shopped. Put her on the
place last evening and she's home to her husband now.

It was a great weekend!

Coop, I lived in the Chicago area for almost 20 years. Don't miss the weather, but do miss places like Portillos. Loved their subs!!
Some good eats up there. :)

Used to be that we only ate there when we went to Chicago for a family thing with my in-laws, but now they have built two
locations in the Twin City area with one more planned this Spring. The newest one will be twenty minutes away from us
here in the sticks. Probably will lose it's uniqueness for us.

For those wondering what we're talking about....

Felt chilly this morning, 41 with a light breeze. Supposed to be 65 and sunny later.
