where we are camped north of Houston on Lake Conroe .... it got down to 19 last night, the snow/sleet/hail that fell yesterday hardened .... it can't be swept away and pouring steaming hot water on it has very little impact ..... its up to 26 with bright sun .... with the projection for it to get above freezing around noon, hopefully nature will take a hand .... thankfully we don't have any need leave the campground and get out and about until Friday ..... I do need to get out and take care of some camping chores .... with it supposedly going back down to 17 tonight we have a few hours to hook back up to CG water (hopefully it isn't frozen) so that Maureen can run the washer and I can top off the camper's fresh water tank .... my third cup of coffee is brewing .... it sure taste good in my Luckenbach, Texas coffee mug

I remember reading "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich" and it said if the temp was below something like -60 they didn't have to work outside that day. ;'[p

Saw a film awhile back about an Inuit hunter, don't know how cold it was but the guy interviewing him was bundled up in full arctic gear and the hunter was wearing a light jacket and no gloves.

Took me 10 minutes to make this post, Louie was determined to help me type.

He's a very brave little kitten. Maggie, my 10 year old, 17 lb. cat is still hissing and growling at him but I'm sure she'll come around, she's always gotten along with my other cats. Louie hissed a little at her the first night but it's only his second day here and he'll walk up to within several feet of her, sit down and just look at her. He's determined that they will be buddies.

A beautiful sunshine day here and I have to stay home for the locksmith. Would be a perfect range day.

40's today and rain. Range should be accessible this weekend. Target boards should be shaking in their boots.
