Sitting in the motor home about five miles south of the border in the middle of nowhere. Shazam, here I am with two bars on my phone and hot spotting to my iPad. We have had some very sketchy cellular in the past but never this good. Must be a new antenna nearby. How bout that!

Here after the local news comes on (Dish Tailgator portable dish).

I used a Tailgator for years and finally had a Wineguard Traveler installed. Much better as it can do HD.
On the new motorhome I just got a refurbished Traveler from Wineguard and now I have to get it installed.
If you go to their web site they have them with a full warranty and a nice discount.

I was at Talladega once back around 94 or 95 when it was the Winston cup. It was back when Nascar was still popular. Favorite driver was Mark Martin. Cold here still but supposed to warm to the 60's by the late afternoon

Good morning, a chilly start to the week with a 33 degree temp this AM.
Near 70 later it shows, so should be a nice Spring day.
Probably try and mow the grass this afternoon after work.

Fair, 41°F, Humidity 53%
Wind Speed S 3 mph
Barometer 29.90 in
Dewpoint 25°F
Visibility 10.00 mi
Increasing clouds, with a high near 67.
A 20 percent chance of showers after 2pm.
Breezy, with a south southwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to
20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
I'm having some health issues so this afternoon I have an appointment to see
my GP. I expect he will want some tests. I hate that.

It's 56° this morning. Not quite as cool as yesterday. Today will bring mostly sunny skies. The kids want to take me to Brenham today to tour the ice cream factory (BlueBell) and who knows what else. Lordy, I've got tons of stuff to do but I know it's important to them because they've asked serveral times. My son's dog, Daisy, has been on a tear since we got the big boy Bosco. Seems she wants to pick on the other dogs to remind them of her alpha status. I'm not too worried as he's (supposedly) moving Thursday to take his job in Michigan. Hopefully that will end the tension.

25 brisk degrees here in the great north. Bright sunshine makes it down right pleasant to see from the warmth of the camper. Highs in the 50’s for a few days than starting Thursday evening rain and colder daytime highs.

We had the day from hell yesterday but all is good now. Started out when we decided to go for a utv ride with the dogs. Went down the pavement to a dirt road that leads to the timber company land. Had the pup in the cab and the adult dog in the back (he’s a vet at riding there). Got to the dirt road, put the pup in the back and started up the road. The pup either jumped out or fell out of the bed about a 4’ drop. He’s fine but what a scare for us. Put his leash on with my wife giving it a tight hold. Went up the road a half mile or so and had a flat tire. Thankfully I had a can of fix a flat and that worked to get us back to camp. Got back and the Dish Tailgator wouldn’t connect with the satellites. Spent 30 min on the phone with them but no luck. I figured it out finally and it’s still working. Sure thinking about Starlink for the future.

New neighbor next door wants to use our pasture for his cows and we were originally in agreement. We didn’t like the idea that he would fence it with high tensile very hot wire. Then he took it to another level wanting to tap into our a/c to run a pump to pump water from the creek. Why can’t folks just be satisfied with a simple request. After talking it over last night my wife and I decided to not do anything. Gonna give home a call here in a few minutes and give him the bad news.

Sure happy I decided not to do any plinking until today, who knows what would have happened to one of my firearms.

Yikes!

Saw my Doc yesterday and we're going to try to eliminate one prescription for a while due to
severe muscle cramps. Also on an anti biotic for a while for an infection. He froze some skin
cancer spots but is sending me to a specialist for more treatment.
Today I intend to move stuff around in the pole shed. My friend got his old Mustangs out for the
Summer so I have lots of room now.
