56 under a cloudless sky on its way to 82 later today .... our home AC is on the blink, I'm thinking of moving back into our camper .... a bit of a different morning for us .... our daughter had to drive to north Raleigh early this morning to get her second Covid shot so my wife got up early and walked over to her home to watch her son .... it appears they are sleeping in so breakfast will become brunch .... we are still working our way through a To-Do list that built up during our time in Texas .... don't anticipate seeing the bottom of that list for a while .... thunderstorms supposed to move through during the early afternoon .... they are predicted to move in and our for the next 3 days

74° headed to upper 80's. Almost hit 90 yesterday. Bacon, eggs, toast, and coffee. Going to the range today among other things.
Later,

29 heading to 50 or so with light overcast and filtered sun. Supposed to be nice today, windy and cold tomorrow and Sunday is the start of a really nice week with sunshine and temps up to the mid 60’s.

Finished cutting and stacking my firewood yesterday and today I will be cleaning up the remaining mess. Then I’ll service my splitter and get to it!

Near stack is what I cut this week and the far stack is what I cut last fall. I’ll split the far stack for burning this coming winter and the near stack will be split and burned next year. I know I may be crazy but I enjoy doing this work. Good to be outside and getting a workout with a return. :D

Another reward Hatch is you have a beautiful place. Snow showers here and lots of wind. 27 overnight supposed to be 55 today. Not much on tap here.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

On the local news this morning it was reported our Sheriff is trying to recruit lateral transfers from Portland, Seattle and Denver by putting up large billboards in those communities. Our weather guy said the Denver billboard should read, “You got a foot of snow and we have 60 degree sunshine”.

Saturday morning looks like low 30's, snow flurries....perfect weather to make smoke at the range. Thermos of hot tea, some local made beef jerky and my long rifle.... :)

Ranch roper you hardy soul! Snow?! Yikes! I finished feeding hay last week and cows are on green spring grass and was I ready for that! I sup my coffee and be glad and thankful turkey season is about upon me rather than more snow!

45º with a high of 70º today and rain most of the day. Should get the grass growing. Guess I should swap out the snow blower for the mower deck.
I am starting a 8X8 foot three sided C shaped raised planter for the soft sided greenhouse coming Monday. I will bolt the supports to the planter to try to keep the greenhouse in my county. I priced cedar lumber and decided to only use the cedar for the box on top and build the riser out of steel angle and tubing to reduce the cost. 1"X 6"X 16 foot rough sawn planks sell for $44, it amazes me that it is cheaper to use steel that wood. Enjoy your weekend.
