Morning, two days in a row now it's been 68°when I wake.
Headed over close to the river to work, then a buddy over there is having a fish fry this afternoon.
Hope you all have a great weekend.

75° on the mountain this morning, with rain and thunderstorms again. It rained 2.1 inches yesterday. Working on my 1st cup of coffee. Radio day today, and that's about it. Cheers.

Might need a boat this morning! Flash Flood Alert for our area right now. Well good thing our neighborhood is up on high ground!
For last week we keep getting these constant rain storms.

No rain here but heavy smoke from local forest fires. We are moving out of here today to go down the road just about forty miles. 52 right now headed to a warm 88.

66 This morning with clear skies. Overnight thunderstorms watered the yard nicely.
Coffee and a Bagel.
Had a wake up call yesterday. I had a cousin who I grew up with, (he was three years older and
was always my buddy), anyway, he died suddenly. He was 82. He had health issues, but none were life
threatening that I knew of. His Wife rushed him to the Mayo on Tuesday because she didn't think
he was doing well. She was right.
As kids we rode ponies together, shot BB guns, .22s, 410 shot guns. We were farm kids and during
the harvest we slid down the straw stack from the threshing machines and did all those kid things.
He was the athlete in High School. Star player on the football and basket ball teams. I was the scrawny
short kid with no ability. We even double dated.
He led a good clean life. Never drunk. Ate well. Raised a great family.

I was the hellion that the community was glad to see go. Vietnam, wine women and song. Ate what I
wanted, smoked for a long time, drank what I wanted. Didn't really settle down until I met Carol.
Still a little out of control.

He's gone. How the hell did I outlive him?
