today's forecast high of 52 is same as yesterday's low .... thankfully, last night's storm that hit our campground north of Houston has moved east, thoughts and prayers for those in its path ... 0% chance of rain today .... supposed to get down to freezing tonight

Put a new heater in the stock tank this morning. All ready for the cold front tonight. -30's all week if nothing changes. Tea in Henry mug.

Not raining at the moment. Sun breaks through every once in while. Not much temp swing today 41-46. Arctic front moving in mid-week and temps are supposed to drop to the 25-31 range and bring a little snow. Brought in another gator load of firewood.

Had a lot of freezing rain in the Hawkeye State yesterday. Mailbox was encapsulated in 1/4" thick of ice. This ice is going to make it tuff on the wild turkeys...it makes it tuff for them to scratch down to get anything to eat.

chilly 34 degree morning where we are camped in Willis, TX .... the blue sky anticipated yesterday has arrived .... morning reports from further north and east clearly show our area was fortunate in being spared the harshest impact of "Winter Storm Isiah" .... going for a high of 62 today with rain moving in over the next few days ..... great breakfast on tap, biscuits, sausage gravy, eggs and coffee in a Luckenbach mug

8-12” of snow predicted for my area by tomorrow afternoon with another storm due Sunday. Then an arctic freeze with lows in the minus single digits and highs in the single digits. Going to be a fun ride. :D
Here is the result of the first storm, Friday into Saturday. Snow started out very dry but Saturday warmed up and it became like concrete. Spent the entire day plowing and shoveling.

The second storm is just now starting but it’s already 31 so I expect it to turn to rain. It will be a mess.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
