Yep! When it was lightening. Just rain didn't slow Charlie up much, if any. They seemed to like the cover. Sneaky little devils. We did some movement during rain too. Never was fond of that, but wasn't asked my opinion.
We sure saw our share of thunderstorms over there. Never saw it rain that hard again. But at least it usually was a warm rain. Except for when I was in the High Lands.
Closest, or worse, rain I've seen here, was in May, 2010. Had 13"
in 2 straight days. Whole area was flooded, including downtown Nashville. My old roof leaked ( did get a new roof out of that).
One heck of a mess. Dont want to ever see that again.

I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

64° on the mountain with thunderstorms as usual. 1st cup of coffee is down. No big plans for the day.
I enjoyed shooting my Colt 1911 with the Kimber .22lr conversion yesterday. Might have to do that some more today. Cheers

Sixties and clear this AM with thunderstorms on the way before noon.
Went to my hair appointment yesterday afternoon, (sounds so female like, "hair appointment"),
anyway, I had made the appointment online and when I got there found out my barber is in
South Dakota on vacation. Went to his competition and he got me right in. My new barber I think.
Gun Club meeting went OK. Progress made on saving the range.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

the first time I woke up this morning it was around 5AM and I could see steady flashes of lightening in the distance to the south of us .... never did hear any thunder .... its 67 under a partly cloudy sky with very little chance of rain as the temperature rises to 84 .... bacon, eggs and Folgers kicked off the morning .... a steady flow of Folgers is keeping one of my Henry mugs busy ... :P

Hot and humid continuing from July....90 degree feel like temp is 106 right now. Heard young neighbor struggling to cut his tall wet grass with a push mower so I cranked up the Kubota and knocked it out for him. Cut last bit of my grass with my push mower...small area and done for the day!
