The wide Missouri River is keeping the fields next to it flooded....although I'm certain heading north toward NE, and further, is much more than KCMO area is experiencing. High winds, thunder and lightning Saturday and Sunday, but gratefully, no tornadic activity near the Northland area. Within a 3-hour span or so, accumulated over 2" in the rain gauge during one storm cell as it moved through.

Rain to end temporarily this morning with some potential sunshine. No need to water the outside flowers quite yet....

Just finished a second Henry mug of double mocha. The day of rest begins.

Just finished replacing the kitchen faucet with a new Delta brand. Only had to make one extra trip to the hardware store this morning for a 1/2" FIP to 3/8" compression valve. Pretty good storm headed our way so I think I will postpone the range trip and see if I can find the kitchen counter and table again. It suffers from Murphy's law of horizontal attraction, walk in the door and set something down on the first available flat spot.

It’s going to be sunnny and upper 60s here today, but since it is our long weekend, it will of course rain on the holiday tomorrow. That’s the tradition here. It always rains on the May long weekend.

@RanchRoper: Offf topic, but do you know anyone who would be interested in this trailer? It’s an ‘07 SilverLite 3 horse with slide out living quarters.

Was cutting studs yesterday late afternoon for our master suite remodel. Started to sprinkle, so moved the saws under the porch. Just in time. The rain started coming down with gusto and didn't slack off until sometime around 4am.
This morning 50 and overcast, not raining at the moment. Maybe 59-62 later.

Cool but dry. Time for some reloading activities. Have some once-fired 45 COlt from the local range to decap and clean up. Might load some up, too. Have lots of prepped, primed cases ready to go!
