No coffee yet, or anything else. I'm now on a low carb diet due to a condition I have.
I can have coffee but any cookies of other carbs are off limits for a while.
Boring!
Well, we have some provolone wrapped with ham, peperoni, and prosciutto.
I guess I'll have three of these and pretend they're cookies. :?
Welcome back!

The rain has finally stopped. We received about 4.25” of rain in 72 hours. That is on top of 5 plus inches we received from January 1st. I dumped the gauge once already. It was full to the brim and pouring over the side during a hard rain in the middle of the night. We have easily received 10” since the start of the year.

Some of you might remember my old gauge. Kermit died of complications associated with Covid19.

One more nice-ish day then Friday supposed to be a windy raw meanie... guess I will take the chainsaw out again and cut more fenceline out like I did yesterday... then stay inside Friday if I can and hide from the wind... speaking of hiding... the best "hiders" I know are big buck whitetails... last year I showed some huge shed antlers I found on my moms place.. never had seen the buck at all... this year about the same story.... no one in area had seen him after he came out of velvet... then in November a bow hunter had an encounter with him about a mile east of my moms place... couldn't get him shot... he (the buck) disappeared and no one saw him all though the gun seasons... then the other morning I turned the cattle into a 18 acre woods pasture that I had held them out of all fall . Its upstream of my 87 year old mothers house about a quarter mile...
about 8:30 in the morning she looked out her front room window and there went the big buck right past her house down the creek another quarter mile to another two acre wooded patch. Im pretty sure he was in the upper wood patch and got annoyed having a big herd of cows and calves stomping all through the brush around him. So the old guy made it past all us Elmer Fudd hunters once again. He he he.... good for him. That's one reason its fun to chase after um. Have a good day. And yes, I will be looking for shed antlers again. 😉

Gray clouds will fill the skies over CT today. It's 29° in the backyard this morning and it will rise into the upper forties by this afternoon after a 60% chance of showers that may include a bit of snow.

The first cup of tea is nearly gone. I'll have my usual breakfast shortly and venture out of house later to bring Paige to the vet for her monthly mani/pedi.

Enjoy your day. Be careful out there.

Sir Henry, man what a mess. I see all the smashed clay pots. Is that your place?

Ozarkwoodswalker, you need to name that buck Walter. Walter was the elusive monster fish in the movie On Golden Pond. :D

20 right now heading to the mid-30’s with sunshine predicted. Of course daylight is over an hour away.

Yesterday’s wind storm ended up being fatal. A woman was crushed in her car on the south hill of Spokane. She was driving along a street in a very heavily wooded area of Spokane and a large Ponderosa Pine up-rooted right onto the front seat area of her car. Another person in Idaho was on the highway and a tree fell on his truck sending it off the road which was fatal. A guy on our local guntrader page just posted he’s looking for a contractor as a tree fell on his house. Personally I don’t have any issues but the worst of the storm was south of me.

Early doctor appointment this morning then it’s home to pack up and head to the range. Should be a good day for shooting. Coffee for now and will probably grab a drive thru breakfast sandwich on the way home from the doc.
