Black ice everywhere. Surprising how quickly this wintry mix/ice storm moved in. I've been up only 2-1/2 hours and just some moisture starting on the wood deck at 6:15am. Now around 8:15am, I couldn't get down the one step to the front sidewalk it is so icy. If I had a saucer sled, the driveway and the street would beckon for some sledding. ;)

News report just announced that a Delta jet slid off the runway at nearby KCI Airport, and already the airport is closed down.

Ice is not nice.

Ah geeez as Archie used to say. Warmed up to eight degrees this AM but we have a Winter Storm Warning today and a Blizzard Warning tomorrow. Good old Minnesooota. Oh well, got the plow ready to go. Again!

I lived in Northern Virginia for twenty years and that 35 degrees and sleet is more uncomfortable that zero is here. Damp cold goes right through to your bones.
