Six More To Cabela’s

Post by Sir Henry » Wed Apr 07, 2021 2:15 pm

Here I sit on the Group W bench waiting for the appraisal of three rifles and three pistols. Among them is a Bond with two extra barrels and he didn’t know how corporate wanted them appraised. The general policy is not to pay extra for extra items but this is kind of an exception.

It’s interesting talking and dealing with them. Corporate wants offers to be the same no matter which store you take it to. They are under pressure not to pay too much but at the same time if they buy something under value they get into just as much trouble. They don’t want them trying to make more than the 35%.

The appraisal came back slightly more than what I was expecting. Some I thought were under valued but others they really stepped up to the plate to get.

Overall I highly recommend selling to them if you are willing to accept a true 65%.

Durn, Gene, if you keep going, you're liable to end up gunless ( is that a word )?

I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

I’m doing okay. I’m still averaging about 25% but have owned most of them for 10 to 20 years and most were bought wholesale.

It will take another six months for that to happen.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
