Re: What's for supper?
I bought an uncooked casserole (Chicken Alfredo) for dinner. Actually the noodles and chicken was cooked but it still needed to be baked.
PCC, a local organic grocery store prepares them in-house. They also have a 30 seat kitchen classroom where they teach cooking. The recipes are published and they sell all of the ingredients. I’ve heard they will even take you around the store and show you were all the ingredients are.
I’ve eaten some of their soups and salads people have made in their home kitchen and it tastes exactly the same.
Cooking for one person has a lot of waste so it’s actually cheaper to buy prepared. It would have cost me $20 to buy all the ingredients only to eat $8 worth of it. The casserole cost me $8.
Tonight’s dinner was made this morning. It’s refrigeratored and NOT frozen.

Re: What's for supper?
Went to the Ranchero last evening. Our favorite place.
Carol had pan fried scallops and a bake potato.
I had a deep fried walleye and french fries.
Every meal comes with soup or salad, garlic toast, and a relish tray.
Carol had some white wine and I had a martini.
I enjoy a place like that for the atmosphere. Very few children, mostly older folks unless they're
having a party. The tables are far enough apart for social distancing and the booths have plexi glass
barriers. It 's usually one couple or two at a table and you can hear the soft visiting and laughing.
Not loud. It's a happy place.
There were two older ladies in a booth enjoying after dinner drinks. I'm 80 and I would guess they
were close to 90. They had finished eating their dinner and were having Brandy Alexanders, only the
way they're made there it's like ice cream. Really good.
It's the kind of place that remembers who you are and makes you feel especially welcome.
