Did you have surgery yesterday or was it cancelled because of the pandemic?

Hang in there Evan! It has to be frustrating to have it postponed, but, the doc's are on top of all these issues in front of them I'm sure.
Try to stay in contact when possible. Take care Evan.

Thanks, guys. Yes, it's on hold, and I don't have a date, or even the hope of getting a date, for the foreseeable future.
This falls into the category of "planned" surgery, which is on a different level than, say, cosmetic surgery. But, it's not at the next level up, which is for folks who have even more extreme cases.
Long story short, I'm expecting it will be late summer. Time will tell, as it's all about how dire the situation gets here in the KC area when it comes to the need for beds, PPE, etc.

I finally completed all the tests they wanted before doing my elective surgery I've wanted since last fall and who knows when I'll be able have it now. Good friend of mine finally got L&I approval for carpal tunnel surgery and her surgeon's nurse told her it would be at least 8 to 12 weeks.

Yeah, those pre-surgical tests are my next concern/issue, I guess. I had mine done in mid-March, based on a scheduled surgery date of 4/1. I wonder how long the window of validity is open? Not that it was a big deal, but I'll see what I can find out...

The surgeon that is going to do the artery scraping said he likes to have an OK from your primary physician within a few weeks of the procedure. Radiologist who is doing the stents didn't say. They both said it's pretty routine but does require total anesthesia and a overnight hospital stay.

Yep, even though mine is outpatient, there's still general anesthesia involved, so there's intubation/respirator action.
Sent a message through the "Patient Portal" at my Ortho office this afternoon, just reminding them that I'm out here and it's been a couple of weeks since someone there said I'd get an update within the "next week to 10 days" (Nudge-Nudge!!).
There's a fine line between being the respectful squeaky wheel and a pain in the neck. I'm trying to remain the former...

Hang in there! I was thinking of you today and wondering if they were going to wait or not. Thanks for the update.
