Rem. 1100

Post by Vaquero » Thu Mar 19, 2020 4:46 pm

Was about to head to town this morning and the phone rings.
Knew the number, but was wondering what was up.
Well seems her bank acct was compromised and she won't get reimbursed till next week.
Says she wants to sell an old shotgun, ask what it is.
1100 Rem. 12 ga., asked what she wanted for it.
Told her all I had at the moment was $300, she was that'll work.
Seems it was her uncles and he used it on himself., been in the evidence locker for a few years.
Could quick pics, it could stand a little cleaning.

older 1100's and 11-87's are outstanding shotguns .... at $300 you got a good deal that I wish I could find .... I have one that was built in Dec of 1977 .... it is only chambered for 2 2/4" shells and fixed Modified choke barrel .... I've had Carlson fit the barrel for Remington choke tubes .... the only real maintenance issue is the 0-ring barrel seal .... purchased from Remington they are solid gold and even from Amazon they come at a premium price ===> https://www.amazon.com/Shotgun-Barrel-S ... s9dHJ1ZQ== .... a while back I bought a bunch from Granger .... if you'd like, I'll be happy to send you a couple ....

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

It's a sweet shooter Jim, took a few pheasants with it the past couple years.

Oh yeah, it would be great for that.
Used mine on the Sporting Clays course a couple times.
Great, don't beat ya up and can shoot it all day.

Hope you can find one Jim.
