.410 Auto-Loader
Picked one up yesterday. I'm not much of a shotgun guy, but I like unusual stuff, and this is just unusual enough to grab my attention.
It is a 1975 Remington 1100 LW .410 marked "SKEET". I have seen a few for sale online, but they're usually "MOD", or "FULL" fixed chokes. I'll get some pics up once I do a teardown/inspection. It is in pretty clean shape as is. My nephew shoots a lot of clay, and is pretty excited to try it.

Sounds like a nice find. I have a Weatherby 28 ga. SA, which is a nice, light little shotgun, great to carry around. Yours should be a lot like it.

Re: .410 Auto-Loader
It's back together and functioning perfectly, even with the little 2 1/2" shells. I just had to clean the gas system and install a new O-ring. No kick to speak of...it's like shooting a .357 carbine, and pretty quiet (for a scattergun) too.

Re: .410 Auto-Loader
the 1100's of that era were outstanding performers and I don't use that term lightly .... maintenance isn't difficult and doesn't take a great deal of time ....

Yup...very simple to strip and clean. I even went as far as pulling the stock and action spring in pursuit of the rusties, and found none. That made me pretty happy.

Very nice indeed. I didn't even know that model existed.
I have a .410 auto-loader, and it's a hoot to shoot, but not nearly as nice looking.
Mine is a synthetic stocked Saiga .410. Loads of fun.
