Conax, Sounds like you got a speed feed stock for your shotgun.

I forget its model number but Mossberg has a bunch of 590A1s all slightly different.. Mine also has a bayonet lug.
As Hickok 45 once said, what good's a pumpgun without a bayonet lug?
haha
It's a fun gun, looks all mean and nasty. I like the rifle sights, what a deerslayer it would make. Albeit a heavy one..

I have a half dozen shotguns all for different duties. I have a shockwave... to carry along in the UTV when we patrol the property... It's perfect for it's job and the recoil is easily manageable. Miss T was cautious at first but surprised at how easily she could manage the recoil with buckshot. I have a couple mossberg pumps and have had NO trouble. A couple double barrels and a couple other pumps with other brand names. NO autos.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I've had a Mossberg 500E (long barrel) for years. Kicks less than my .30-30 and less than the semiautomatic 12 gauge a friend of mine has. The semiautomatic is nice for shooting clay when one needs more than one shot to bring down a clay, only time I've needed to be a speed shooter. For everyday use a pump is good enough for me.
