I got lucky last week. I was able to buy 3 boxes of Federal 410 2.1/2" #6. $22ea box, 25 shells per box. I could have bought a lot more, but 3 boxes was enough to top off my stash. I think there was a couple cases on the shelf, so not a lot.

Exactly. CGF, it's like they just want everybody to buy a dang 28ga.
Well it ain't happening here.
I have at least a 1000 rds. each of 12 & 20ga, and around 7 to 800 rds. of 410, and add a little here and there.
The 410's have been hard to come by.

Bought my granddaughter an O/U Stoeger .410 for her birthday and a case of shells. She sure likes to shoot trap so Iā€™m going to have to on the hunt for shells soon.

.410s are hit and miss around here. I can always find 20 ga.
The Stoeger side by sides are nice guns, whether the coach gun or the Uplander.
If you aren't going to do much with it, get the .410. You don't see to many and it might be a fun plinker and an interesting conversation piece.

Mine usually generates a bit of interest when ever I take it to the range.
I usually take along some of the 3" brass cases I formed loaded with black powder loads. The BP boom, clouds of smoke and big brass cases have a few thinking it is a big old double rifle

Still learning on this brand, that has strangely somehow escaped me though the years. I see that the Uplander has a longer barrel, but what other differences does it have in comparison to the Coach gun?

I have the Uplander and the Coach gun in .410. They both have double triggers and they look the same except for the barrel length. They both are supposed to have full choke barrels. They have an automatic safety that resets after opening and closing the action.

I've had an eye open for an older used double in either 410 or 20, but they are pretty hard to find as mentioned. Glad to see that there is a new one available that is pretty likable. I've got between now and purchase time to choose which one. I would like a 410, as I already have one in a Derringer, but wouldn't mind a 20 either. I will probably let the Ammo market decide for me in the meantime.

CGF, if like here, you're much more likely to find 20ga pretty much anywhere, and
the 410 Nowhere. Sat I was at one of the shops that sells loading supplies.
Was cuttin up with owners wife and daughter, and we were talkin about how they could get certain things and all.
So I asked laughingly where's all the dang 410's?
The daughter says as she's walking behind me, we have some right here and pointed to none
Oh she says we do have more in the back , saying they were $22.99 a box.
So with tax they would be a dollar a pop. I said naw I have quite a few I'll let some others have them.
Last I bought this past year was 500 rds. online, that worked out to .63 cents ea.
Good luck on your choice.
I myself would go with 20, but just because I don't have a dbl SxS or a coach gun. ;)

Go for the 20 and you will like it. After you get some rounds thru it take it down and polish up the hinge points and reduce the spring tension on the lock lever about 2 coils off the spring. It will be really fun to shoot then. Around my area more 20 gauge rounds to be found than 410.
