My thoughts, were right in line with yours. This course was designed to move a large number of officers through qualification with as few failures as possible. Few challenges, long strings of shots. Note the limited number of rounds at 25 yards.
If I wanted to help them even more, I would load my mags, two and six at twenty five yards. Fire two, check. Reload, settle, six smooth shots. Done.
