"New" Old Super blackhawk

Post by JayZuv » Sat Feb 29, 2020 11:59 pm

Went to a local gun show today and this is what came home with me. Nothing fancy, but I just love the old school look of these things. Pretty sure the grips were hand carved by someone, and they're not done perfectly, but I like my guns to have a bit of character to them.

The number one item on my bucket list is a single action. Buy or trade, eventually I will find one. I would like a short barrelled birdshead to tote around the new farm after we move. Lol.

Love the carved grips, they do give your new addition individuality and character.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

The Ruger Super Blackhawk, new or old, is a classic. It was my first deer "rifle".

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

There might be more expensive, fancier looking revolvers, but, mighty hard to top the 'ol Blackhawk. Have one in .357. Enjoy!

I have a Blackhawk in .357mag with a 4" barrel, and a Super Blackhawk in .44mag with a 10" barrel.
Both are more fun than should be allowed by law.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who loves the old single actions! Will be updating on how she shoots soon, either when we get some warmer weather or I get tired of waiting
