Here's a story about a couple of very nice revolvers and a not so nice day on the range.

Re: The Guns of Magnaport
as a long time fan of Magnaporting firearms, I enjoy your video .... I've never had them perform any other mods than porting barrels ... my first was a Remington 700 BDL chambered for 300 WBY Mag back in 1992 .... it performed so well that since them I've had them port several more rifles (including a Henry 45-70), various handguns (including aRuger Redhawk 44 Mag), and shotguns (including a Remington 11-87) ....

Classy look for sure on the S&W 686, Howard. The finish, polish, and jewel touches you selected are all great! Easy to see why you choose to keep your shooting of this revolver at a minimum.
Just my opinion. I like Magnaport's appearance results even better than some of the BCA projects I've viewed on their web site http://www.bowenclassicarms.com/workshop.html . Half a dozen years ago I had looked at a BCA package designed for my 3" SP101 .357 snubby. My preference aside, both shops produce superb-looking special projects.

Been a while since I shot my 686, but I'll certainly keep the strain screw in mind should I incur a problem.
