....... Might drop them an email and see if one of the cylinders they have for the brands they list would still fit a Ruger.
mail@vtigunparts.com
They were fast and helpful at responding to my questions.
Yesterday I sent an inquiry to VTI. They responded today.
No sorry we discontinued the Ruger parts a while ago. They never did allow us to sell cylinders, as they want the installed at the factory only.
Thank you,

Might check on Ebay routinely for a .45 ACP cylinder.
There is currently one listed and they must be pretty popular as there are several bidders.
WIth regard to fitting I have known a couple people who have bought used cylinders for their BHs and they fit and shot fine. I have also read similar reports on other forums .
Rugers are built to pretty tight tolerances and dimensions of parts are no doubt essentially the same with variances of probably no more than a thou or two between any of them.
I wouldn't have a problem buying a used cylinder for the right price and condition and expecting nearly 'drop in' fit and function.

I'm watching the cylinder on evilbay right now. Want to see what a used one sells for. Might just be worth sending it back to the factory if I include getting it re-blued.

If the cylinder on Ebay goes for much more than what it is at now then the factory is probably the better option.
I wouldn't consider paying more than maybe 50-60 % used of what the factory is quoting for a new and fitted cylinder.

I was thinking the same thing. There are .357 cylinders listed at over $100 used. That's too high in my opinion.

That cylinder has been bid up to $95.00 + $5.40 shipping with 3 hours left. Too rich for my blood.
