Thanks Mags. Was the most practical and expedient thing for myself and them. That's why I suggested it from the start.

Well here it is with the replacement grips. Have not yet been able to shoot it due to weather. I personally love, or should I say, my eyes love the fiber optics. I know, not traditional  however, gotta do what I gotta do. :)

Fine looking pistoles dude! That is going to be a lot of fun. Keep us posted. I think it needs a gunslinger holster.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

I understand completely as i have my own eye issues!
I just swapped the originals on my 1899 Winchester with the gold bead off my Henry and put a later style Winchester Buckhorn on the rear.
Not a terrible departure from original but I love the larger gold bead front and the later style buckhorn has a thicker blade with a pronounced 'U' groove and its not a bad combo - and the price was right!
Until I decide if I am going to keep the Winchester or not it will allow me to get out and shoot it more accurately.
That 'Ol 119 year old blue kinda glistens now 'eh?
