I really can't remember the last time I saw an officer carrying a revolver as a duty weapon. That includes some large gatherings of uniformed officers from different agencies in which I periodically find myself.

I agree. I think it is a thing of the past. As I recall, it more of an off duty weapon now (more due to being compact and as a means of defense not apprehension). 9mm and AR 15 seem to be standard issue. But as always, the best weapon is between the ears. Some can go a career without discharging their firearm. And, I think this is the case with this particular individual.
