More Classic looking SA (Vaquero)vs Non-Classic look (Blackhawk)

Higher Shine SS (Vaquero) vs more satin finish (Blackhawk

More attractive overall looking gun (Vaquero).

Works for me. I’d go for the Vaquero over the Blackhawk.

If you don’t mind some scrubbing after shooting, Ruher Old Army’s are a lot of fun. My brother had one when we were growing up and into black powder.

All this talk about Ruger single actions MIGHT just take me to my favorite pawn shop and have a look at what they might have in something good, used!

Man, if you don't have a SA you really should do yourself a favor and get one. If you ask me SA takes a different mindset and a little bit of patience. But as far as I am concerned that's a good thing if you just looking to enjoy yourself and your time at the range. Typically anytime I go to the range to fire pistols and for the most part I fire 22's the first 30 to 45 minuutes is SA time. Great for taking your time and just enjoying the process and extremely economical as well especially when your shooting 22s. If you do happen to go 22 I highly recomend the Single Ten. For quantity and sights it's really your best bet when it comes to SA 22s anyway.

Now I am going to have to get a picture made of mine, just so I can see how they compare to the beauties already posted......and mine are not real pretty. Mostly used up.

Plase do post. I LOVE the looks of a well used single action revolver, assuming, of course, that the wear is from honest use, not abuse.
