Thumbs down!
Thumbs down!
I was looking at the GP100 Match Champion this morning, and the up-front ad on the Ruger web site showed this fellow. Check out his left thumb and also notice the .357 Magnum's hammer.....whoa!!
Always good to remind ourselves of the inherent dangers in firearms.

Re: Thumbs down!
That looks like someone took a stock photo of a shooter using a semi auto pistol then photoshopped the revolver into it.

Re: Thumbs down!
Nothing directly wrong with the hammer, JEBar -- only mentioned it because the revolver is ready to fire with the thumb sitting almost at the cylinder gap. Here are two instructional videos by Hickok45 dealing with the cylinder gap and hand placement....quite interesting on how he provides the example of "what if."

Re: Thumbs down!
got you and agree .... I've been cut by shavings coming from the gap between the cylinder and barrel .... that ain't no fun .... in looking at the picture, his left first finger appears to be on top of his trigger finger .... it just doesn't look right .... that said, it could be a product of the camera angle

I saw this video sometime back and tried it at the range with my .22LR revolver. Same thing happened. Its amazing even the lowly 22 can burn you bad.
