Actually some can - as well as other semis and will also only be with quality factory or reloaded ammo.I've read posts (elsewhere) from 1911 snobs who claim their rigs are so well-tuned that the brass just accumulates in a neat, little pile for later retrieval.
I once had a Gen 1 IMI Desert Eagle .357 mag that would literally throw the brass in an 8” circle if the gun was benchrested. Even my new PCC is not too bad and again, only if benchrested but will put the brass about 6’ away, a bit forward of the muzzle an in an approximate 15” circle - which is not too bad for a pistol caliber carbine.
