Yes, discovering "How it shoots" will be cool. 8-)

What has most piqued my interest about this revolver is the hammer spur. I've been to most all the LGS in my area looking for this top-break model, but have yet to find one on the shelf. This model was designed primarily to allow a soldier, while riding a horse in combat, to more easily & quickly reload his revolver. When shooting, the hammer spur component was to help stabilize the gun in the hand.

When I think about these design purposes, this gun was created primarily for one-handed shooting. Although I've shot my revolvers one-handed, I more often shoot two-handed. Looking forward to trying the Russian and shooting it both ways.

Well, I'll neither be in a combat situation or on a horse. It will just be a most fun first-time range visit with this revolver.

Finally get to say, "The Russian is Coming, The Russian is Coming!" ;)

The internet LGS shipped the T&C Russian top break revolver to me today. The tracking number lists the gun should be at my LGS by middle of next week.

Cool. 8-)

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

Hey, Big AL,

Head you off at the pass on this one...."tease" has already been ambushed.
Look at my starting post in this thread, and check out the link near the end of my intro to the Russian.

BTW, the Hickock45 video on the Schofield top break revolver is cool 8-) ….He liked both the design and shooting it.
Sure hope I like the Russian as much as he liked the Schofield model; basically the same gun with some mods done to it.
