Just a neat little gun

Post by North Star » Tue Feb 13, 2018 9:44 am

About a year ago, I was at the local gun shop and spied this little classic number among the plastic pistols on display. It was love at first sight. It was a 1907 Savage pocket pistol that you see on all the Detective movies of the 30's and 40's. It was the first example of a semi auto with a magazine holding 10 rounds of 32 cal. Still had a great finish with the original grip panels. ( most panels are crack or broken off) It is a sweet firing piece and handles very nicely. Tucks comfortably in the pocket of the trench coat.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

I traded into one of those Savage 1907's in .32acp.
It has a cracked grip on the right side, but I still like it.'
I also have a Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless in .32acp, a Kel-Tec .32acp, and a Bersa Thunder in .32acp.

Don't know why I'm so enamored with the round.

I too have a Colt .32 1903 Hammerless. One chip out of the grip. Not really hammerless. There is a hammer inside.

I had a friend that collected Savage pistols for many years. One of their ads said"It banishes fear" . They also made them in .380.
