Six Guns
Sometimes a fellow just needs to spend some time with some revolvers.

Re: Six Guns
The Model 10 is such a classic. Love it, especially the hammer mounted firing pin vintage. Here's our little more modern version of the Model 10. It's the Model 67, basically a stainless Model 10 with sights. Fun gun to shoot.
Know what you mean about getting out with the revolvers, now and then. I do practice my DA shooting with the Smiths, occasionally, just to keep up the skill level, even though if I did carry, it would still be a semi-auto. Figure that if I'm going to shoot DA revolvers, I should know how to shoot them in DA.

Re: Six Guns
I just bought one of the new Ruger model 0810 superblackhawks with the fluted cylinders 44mag 5 3/4 barrel. have not had the chance to fire this one yet. yes yer right I really enjoy my time with a six gun especially with the single actions you tend to slow down and savor each shot.

Re: Six Guns
Yes I built it ........... Ruger NEVER made a 44-40 with a birdshead grip . Ruger NEVER made a 44-40 with a 3 1/2" barrel , 4 5/8 is the shortest one they made in 44-40 . I cut the forcing cone to 11 degrees , Ruger stock is 7 degrees . I took a Super Blackhawk target hammer reshaped and thinned it for slip hammering . I put a Power Free spin pawl in it . I put a Wolf spring kit in it and did a trigger job . Polished cylinder chambers and installed Ruger 22 auto front sight . Put a thicker cylinder stop for lockup and then retimed the gun for a better lockup . You could say I made it .ditto1958 wrote:You built it? Does Ruger know about that!?
