:D I have always wanted a 610 particularly when none were around. Recently on our local site both an original and a new release were for sale. The price kept me from giving a purchase a serious thought so I will enjoy the 610 vicariously thru yours.

Hatch have you priced or looked at any 686's lately? The used no lock ones in 4 inch are selling at or higher than what I paid for this one. Local store has one in 4inch 7 shot at 825.00

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Yeah, the S&W revolvers have gone nuts in price. Thankfully I have a 6” 7 shot 686 and the 686’s are such sweet shooters. I just have a “thing” for 10mm for some reason. I have a S&W 1006 that scratches that itch but the 610 just has that “it” factor that is so appealing.

From what I have noticed, a lot of handguns (and firearms in general) seem to be selling close to MSRP. I noticed that the Colt King Cobra Carry MSRP, that I picked up, just increased by $100 to $999, a month or so ago. Yet, the 3" version MSRP is still at $899. When I go to a LGS, their prices are right at or just below MSRP. And, small, light revolvers seem to be in high demand for women. I like a small revolver myself. And, I did give the MSRP for one. About a couple months later, the MSRP increased. So, I consider my buy reasonable. In this time of lawlessness, the days of paying less than MSRP may be awhile coming. If you can wait, wait. But, prices don't seem to be coming down, any time soon. If you can buy, buy. That is what money is for. Yes, don't go crazy. However, you can't spent it in a grave either. So, have fun and shoot!
