Magnum Research 10mm
Magnum Research is one of my trusted Manufacturers and I have a hard time turning away. I have been kind of/sort of looking at 10mm and when I handled this 1911 I decided it was time to get one. Don't know when I will shoot it as I have another appt. with the Doc about my right retina Friday concerning blurriness. But it will happen.
Was assured that I can get an adjustable rear sight for it. my gun inspector approves. Great trigger, tight, and bull barrel. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

When it comes to brass throwers its 1911’s and CZ style pistols that get my attention. Nice gun Ernie Im sure you will enjoy it. Put your best meat hook grip on that bad boy when you touch off a few 10’s. There is some hp there

Re: Magnum Research 10mm
Congrats on the MR!! I have a MR .45 1911 and am very impressed with it. Function, trigger pull and accuracy is very close to being the equal of my Les Baer UTC and that's at a third of the price. I've got more than a few 1911's but no 10mm and there always seems to be 10mm brass left laying around at the range...and I've been picking it up.

Re: Magnum Research 10mm
Nice looking piece my friend. I never jumped on the 10mm bandwagon, only because I didn't want to add another caliber to load. Same reason I don't own a 44 mag. Always wanted both a Model 29 and a Charter Arms Bulldog, but just never wanted to add 44 caliber to the Dillon Press.
Will look forward to the range report!

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...

Awesome manufacture of an awesome platform in an awesome caliber.
Hmmmm a lot of awesome here!
Al, I’m with you. I have slowly over the years limited my center fire brass throwers to 1911, CZ and a few S&W 3rd gen steel semi’s including one in 10mm.

Re: Magnum Research 10mm
I've had a couple 1911s in 10mm and really enjoyed shooting the 10mm. I found the 10mm to be an easily controlled round in a 191, considering its power level. Great flat shooting distance cartridge for a 1911. My problem for me going 10mm, now, is the extra effort to rack the slide with the heavier 10mm springs needed. Some days the arthritis makes racking the slide on any semi-auto a challenge, even a 22 semi-auto. One reason I shoot mostly revolvers in my old age.
