Holster for my S&W 637

Post by bandit1250 » Sun Mar 07, 2021 7:08 pm

My friend bought a Bond Arms derringer and with it he bought a holster from Bond Arms also. He hated the Bond Arms derringer to the point he traded it off. Where he traded it they would take the holster but not allow anything for it. He paid over a hundred dollars for the holster and was tempted to give it to them and I told him to keep it and sell it on the internet. After several weeks of it laying around he asked if it would fit my 637 Smith. I told him I doubt that it would fit. We tried it and it fit really nice for not being made for it. So he gave it to me. I insisted he should take something for it but he wouldn't so I will give him a brick of some good 22 ammo. BigAl may post pictures later.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Does the strap hold the hammer down securely? Probably OK being a double action and with the strap holding the hammer down but would be a little concerned that the trigger is exposed.

It is a nice looking holster.

The strap holds the hammer so tight under the hammer spur I wouldn't be able to fire it using two hands to pull the double action trigger. No way can it be cocked for single action firing with out unbuckling the strap that has a very secure snap. The strap is under the hammer spur like it was made for this S&W Airweight revolver. This is my snake revolver loaded with snake loads when fishing brushy or rocky areas that has enough rattlers that I don't want to be armed with just a stick.
