I've sold 90% of my revolvers in the last 10 yrs in the thinning of the herd . Here are the ones I love and kept .

TGR --- Easy to see why these all are "keepers." And it would be kinda hard to pick a favorite, if I had to. The Bond, Vaquero, and Ruger Old Army are all in the running.

Ruger never built a 44-40 in a sheriff model or a 44-40 in a birdshead grip so I made one . I put of ton work into it but it turned out perfect and it don't shoot bad either .PT7 wrote:TGR --- Easy to see why these all are "keepers." Re: Revolvers are multiplying
A person on this forum owns the pair of 32-20 birdshead Vaquero in the pic I posted . The 32-20 are 2 of 500 but the birdshead make them 2 of 2 and cons # .BigAl52 wrote:Those Birdsheads are really nice TGR. Kinda makes me think of ole Doc Holiday when I see those. The 454 with a 45 Colt cylinder would be my favorite! I did not know that they had 45 Colt cylinders. That would be perfect for anything I would use it for.BigAl52 wrote:David
From top to bottom on the Freedom Arms 454 Casull with a 45 colt cylinder, 475 Linebaugh and bottom is 41 mag. The only one I bought new was the 475. I bought the other 2 used and I dont think the 41 mag has ever been shot and I know I havent shot it yet. I do also own some Smith and Wessons a model 15 K-38 masterpiece, 657 power port 41 mag and a 617 22lr. I also have a Ruger match champion 357. Just havent got those out for photos yet. JEBar I felt the same way about single actions for a long time Ive just learned to use a different grip and adjusted. But like you mentioned its just personal preference. Al

Freedom Arms will make extra cylinders for any of the guns that will shoot dual calibers. Like 357 and 38 special. They dont reccomend shooting 38 special in there 357 because of how close there tolerances are. There extra cylinders are pricey just like there guns are but there all hand made in a little town of Freedom Wyoming. I have been to the town and right by the factory but at that time they didnt have semi truck parking. There revolvers are great and I really like them. Some question there price and thats ok to each there own. Of the ones I have shot there really neat. Are they 1500.00 better than a tuned Ruger I cant answer that. Its a personal thing and I have a Ruger Bisley in 45 colt with a 45 acp cylinder that shoots pretty darn good. But I wanted a Freedom Arms and I like them. Al

Re: Revolvers are multiplying
+1 ...... Being a reloader I make custom ammo . I load 357 brass to 38 spec loads for my CAS/ SASS and never shoot 38 special in 357 chamber ... My 44-40 I can load it with black powder or I can load it with Unique powder to 44 special 750 fps or 44-40 spec of 900 fps . I also make 44-40 HV to match the ammo Winc and Remy made for 92 Winc rifle hunting rifle which is almost 1800 FPS .BigAl52 wrote:Like 357 and 38 special.
