Hey All,

I thought I could post a pic but apparently not. I do have one stored attachment (image). I don't abuse picture posting at all. I don't put images of my firearms on external hosts nor can I find directions about pixel or file sizes so in your minds eye picture a win 94 30-30 next to a blr 7-08.

You are not restricted from posting pictures, Ed. What is happening when you try?

Hey All,

Can't find image size is close to what I get. It is a jpeg so I'm thinking dimensions or file size problem. Can't find answer - is there a sticky or an FAQ that I did not see?

What are the dimensions of the image you are having a problem with.

Hey All, Roughly 4600 by 3500 an 9 megs. If there are upper limits this forum should sticky or faq them - I think. I'll play by the rules just post what they are. Seriously not trying to offend or sound overly harsh. -Ed-

To my knowledge, there are no limits... but there may be.

Do you know how to resize an image? The ideal resolution for the web is 1040 x 768 or smaller, like 800 x 600 or 640 x 480. The forum software prefers an image ratio of 4:3, otherwise the display may be distorted.

If you can't resize it using tools on your computer, tablet, or phone, there are web based applications that you can use. One is: https://resizeimage.net/

Hey All,

I do know how to resize - photography is another hobby of mine - I and likely others just need to know the rules in a sticky or FAQ. I'll do some resizing and try again.

Hey All,

My BLR in 7mm-08 and Winnie in 30-30. The Winnie is better balanced but they basically weigh the same.

I see I should have sharpened the pics.

Hey All,

Thank you for the help CT! My point remains a sticky or address in FAQ how to post pictures specifying maximum dimensions/file size and include advice on image resize enhancement as sharpening would really help members here. Do consider it.

Glad you shared these photos with us. If you prefer, you also can frame your images in landscape orientation using the same image ratio of 4:3. Somewhere in the forum there is an extended discussion about posting photos; what works and why. I'll spend a bit of time looking for it.

There are a number of posts that may (or may not) be helpful. Daytime Dave is the owner/admin who controls the server software. Mags formerly participated quite a bit and had some useful points to make.
