'Buffalo Bill' Is Getting Bored!

Post by Mistered » Sat Mar 28, 2020 2:33 pm

Got to thinking this morning about all I shoot and lately my full size Winchesters have been getting all the pinecone kills so weather permitting I'll probably take 'Buffalo Bill' out for some woods time tomorrow!

I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

Yea - Winchester did a pretty good job of keeping their Commemoratives pretty plain and sedate.
A couple of them are a little 'over the top' but no weird colors or bizarre engravings.
They were mostly made before computer CAD/CAM came about so that helped.
My BB has some tasteful engraving on the receiver and with the nickle plated forestock cap, saddle ring, trigger and stock medallion that's about it.

I am thinking of inletting a Gold Double Eagle $20 piece on my Henry stock as a 'highlight' !
