Remington 66
Remington 66
Stopped in at the LGS today and found a nylon Rem 66 22 lr in great shape. Bluing is very good, no rust or scratches and the barrel is clean and shiny. There are a few light scratches on the stock but overall the gun is very nice. Did not have one of these sooo.... it followed me home. Merry Christmas to me.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Nylon 76 "Trailrider." Big dollars for a really nice one. Only lever action ever built by Remington Arms.

Young man at the store told me they are a problem to take apart. Guess I will have to check out the "experts" on YT.

Re: Remington 66
just got off of the phone with the gunsmith who for several years has taken care of a wide range of firearms issues, mods, upgrades, adjustments, etc for us .... he said that the Model 66's have been out of production for so long that there simply isn't a good parts source out there .... I wasn't aware that there are outfits who specialize in removing every possible part form unrepairable firearms and sell them .... a salvage type operation .... he's going to take a look at ours .... if he can repair the rear sight, fine .... if not, he'll install a scope

They have a reputation for being accurate. Do the not? To the consternation of some when they came out as I remember.
