One out and two back

Post by bandit1250 » Wed Oct 16, 2019 6:34 pm

I will never get the herd thinned down at this rate. I traded one off but ended up bringing two back home.  I traded my 452 FS 17 HMR for a like new 1982 541-S Remington. He wanted $200 difference from me but I told him I didn't need it bad enough to pay difference. So we haggled a little on it and he said he would go even if I did a Marlin fore arm over for him over the winter. That was easy enough. So then he had a 452 CZ Varmint in 17 Mach 2 he wanted to sell. So I traded some things off to him and ended up with the Mach 2. Real nice rifle with only a half box of ammo shot in it. So I empty a spot in the safe and put two back in. I don't know if that is classed as progress or not. ;) Here is a few pictures of the new residents here in my safe.

Sounds like a bargain to me.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Sounds like a two for one sale. That's no way to thin the herd ... but it sure is fun. :) Let us know how they shoot.

Nice!
I've been thinking about picking up an HM2, if I can find one. I'd like to give that round a try.

Ruger is making them again in the American. I believe they are like the Predator series. Ammo is now available in Hornady and CCI.

I've noticed that over on RFC, but thought it was a limited run for one retailer. Getting that up here in Canada might be a challenge. I do find the Ruger offering more attractive than the current Savage rifles. I'd be pretty happy if I could get my hands on a BL-17, or a CZ.
