Im not bashing a 30-30 by any means. I have shot both and I think 30-30 lovers need to take a long hard look at 38-55. There is a world of difference in shooting those 2 and 38-55 is a recoil sensitive persons caliber. Not to mention if one reloads its straight wall case and cast bullet friendly. Shooting cast in 30-30 is a challenge.
Al, I have all the components and a set of dies.
Maybe one day I will stumbled across one.
I really enjoy my 35 Remingtons more than my 30-30's. :o

Only have one...!981 pre safety JM Marlin 336 30-30. I had it professionally refinished , and it will probably go to the next generation when I'm gone.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Have 2 and both extremely accurate, especially the contender with necksized fireformed cases. The Henry CCH is on the heavy side but do love it.
