Cooper 57M Western Classic

Post by dddrees » Sat Jun 15, 2019 8:20 pm

I really got lucky with this one. I had been trying to figure out for the longest time exactly which 22 Bolt Gun to get. Just as I was getting ready to order a Cooper 57M Western Classic someone responded to a thread I created on Rimfire Central and provided a link to a seller with a number of Cooper rifles.

Perfect timing and perfect rifle as far as I am concerned. Exactly what I was looking for and all without having to wait for Cooper to build one for me.

Extra CCH Magazines, CCH Rings, and scope have been ordered. I'm a sucker for those rifles with a good looking stock.

Very nice rifle. I have read some about them but not enough to know that much. I know they are first class and pricey.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Thank you sir. It's my understanding the 57M is a copy of an Anschutz action. I don'y know a whole lot about them either but it appears they are more known for making a good looking rifle where as Anschutz is more known for making a more accurate rifle. I"ll never be a great shooter but I will always appreciate a good looking rifle that is fairly accurate.

Classic is right. Beautiful 22. I'm sure you'll be more than happy with the performance.

Thank you. I didn’t do tons of research on this particular purchase but this was one were I was banking on the first class thing. I’ve yet to see anything that gives me reason to believe differently.
