Have to run to my FFL

Post by dddrees » Thu Apr 25, 2019 8:15 am

Always one of my favorite trips. The hunt is over, the research is done, the auction is won, and the shipping is complete. Missed my chance yesterday but then again it arrived late, but now it's time to go pick up my latest gun. Just like Christmas, I just Luv this part. I also know I'm going to have a good time with this rifle at the range. Just as I have fun with my SA revolvers I'm pretty sure I'm going to have great fun with this single shot rifle. Best part it's also a lever gun as well as the first rifle by John Browning. Well the first one I am aware of anyway. It's actually a 1885 Low Wall and only a reproduction but still it does have some history behind it. Been on a lever gun kick for awhile now and this should fit rather nicely with those I have picked up recently.

I've seen a few documentary's on John Browning and think at some point it might be fairly interesting to read a book about this man as well.

Thanks again to NCG for all her help. This is the second gun she has enabled me on. Man she sure is detrimental to my wallet. LOL

Cheers,

Dan

Yup, she's a bad influence, that one...her T-bolt thread pushed me over the edge...
Looking forward to some pics of the new hardware.

Nice! There's just something cool about a single-shot.
.22WMR is a fun round too...I got hooked on them last year.

Congrats on the new addiction.
Was just about to ask about the caliber, I have one but it's a bolt gun.
I'm still waiting on the darn pic. to load, but I bet it's a beauty.
