A look at numbers

Post by bandit1250 » Sun Feb 10, 2019 11:41 am

I tried to get a picture of the numbers made in different years of Marlin 39A's and variations of the A models. I think you can read it OK. The numbers on some of the models made it is no wonder they bring a lot of money now. Some years there was only one rifle of that particular model made. This paper was given to me by a Marlin collector. I missed some earlier years at the top of the list but this gives you an idea on the rarity of some Marlin 39A rifles and the variations they made. I guess this is why collecting Marlins can be challenging even to the big collector guys. I still prefer the 39A Marlins to most the other lever rifles and that is no way knocking my Henry Frontier. It is a great shooter and looks nice.
