I kind of thought the same...seems the stock would be a little low for a scope, but I slipped one on with low rings, and it fits me well. This isn't the first CZ I've had with an odd stock/sight combo. My 512 carbine was just the opposite. It came with an american style stock, and open sights (tangent). It is also not the first one with a blotchy uneven finish, but I will touch on that in another thread, regarding my 512s.bandit1250 wrote:Strange they put the hog back stock on a rifle that needs to be scoped with the absence of any open or tangent sights. CZ does some weird stuff with some of the rifles they turn out. Maybe they were cleaning out some parts bins and had enough to build a complete rifle. Doesn't matter. It looks nice and is different and may be the only one. Hope it shoots well.
I hope it shoots well too.
